It's getting colder in the Northern hemisphere, and our feet are once again hidden in our shoes.
No more do we have to worry about the appearance of our tootsies in the summer sandals:)
However, the cold season can mean real foot problems for lots of folks: bunions, hammertoes, nerve pain, cracks and fissures...
Did you know that bunions are hereditary, and women are more prone to the bunions because we have lighter bones?
If you suffer from bunions, you must take care to choose the shoe wide enough, and have an insert in your shoes that supports the arches of your feet. If it is a chronic condition, the operation may be necessary.
Hammertoes can be so painful! You may consider corrective surgery for corns.
For cracked heels, moisturizing is of utmost importance. Thankfully, there are a lot of products that will get rid off heel cracking.
Moisturizing can also help with ingrown nails. Do not cut your nails too much!
And, one last advice - remember to pamper your feet!
So next summer you can show them off with pride and walk lightly, without any unpleasantness.
